Reconciliation
Believe Housing Australia, the housing arm of AnglicareSA, has been committed to genuine reconciliation since 2021, driving lasting change through meaningful actions. In collaboration with First Nations leaders, we are enhancing cultural competency and inclusivity across our services.
Our reconciliation journey and actions
Since 2021, we have taken an in-depth look at our reconciliation journey and how we, as an organisation, can move towards real change with lasting purpose.
With support from Reconciliation SA, we have undertaken a significant engagement process to ensure our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) includes meaningful actions that promote inclusivity and enhance cultural competency within Believe Housing Australia and the broader community.
Our Innovate RAP is a strategic roadmap that will drive authentic reconciliation through tangible, measured and sustainable benefits for First Nations people we employ, serve, and partner with.
– Grant Reubenicht, CEO
We involved Believe Housing and AnglicareSA employees, First Nations community leaders, and customers to inform our RAP Working Group and ensure ownership and participation in the creation of the approach and commitment to reconciliation.
We develop our Acknowledgement of Country in collaboration with First Nations senior leaders and employees. Providing a greater understanding of culture and the continuing connection of First Nations peoples to Country.
